One feature of the Service is the support it receives from the communities of the region. Consequently there are quite a number of fundraising events initiated by community groups in country towns and locations. The Service itself also has selected special events in Newcastle and Tamworth.

Any important communication link with this support base is the newsletter, 'Rescue Magazine' that is published four times each year. The magazine provides up to date information about helicopter operations and fundraising. You can subscribe to Rescue Magazine in this section of the website.
