Helicopter Housie became part of the Helicopter Service's fundraising activities in 1989 and is one of the most popular ways for people to help the Service.

There now are hundreds of people attending housie sessions throughout the Hunter, Central Coast, Mid North Coast and New England-North West regions. Each year Housie players raise more than $400,000 for the Service.
