Employment Opportunities

All positions that become available within the Service are advertised both internally and through the local and national papers. The selection process is dealt with by a contracted recruitment agency. The agency will advertise the position and conduct preliminary interviews before recommending a shortlist of candidates to the General Manager. A panel of representatives from the Service will conduct the final interviews and make a recommendation. The panel composition varies from position to position and the representatives will range from Board members to staff members. EMS Helicopter Pilot

The Hunter Region SLSA Helicopter Rescue Service Ltd has a vacancy for an experienced EMS Helicopter Pilot to join their aeromedical service based at Tamworth NSW.

Minimum Qualifications

  • ATPL Helicopter
  • Command Helicopter Multi Engine IFR Rating
  • 2500 hours Rotary Wing
  • 2000 hours PIC Rotary Wing
  • 1500 hours PIC Turbine
  • 500 hours PIC Rotary Multi-Engine
  • 50 hours IFR
  • 30 hours PIC Night VFR

Desirable Qualifications

  • Previous EMS/SAR Experience
  • B412 / BK117 Experience
  • Winch, Sling & Low Flying Endorsements
  • NVG Experience
  • Fixed Wing Multi/IFR
